Southwest Airlines announced today that overweight people will now be asked to buy 2 seats!! The spokesman claimed that if you needed a seatbelt extender, then you had to pay for 2 seats. When I called the airline to make sure I heard it correctly, I was told that if you have to raise the seat arm to be comfortable, then you had to pay, but nothing about seat belt extenders.

The stupidity of this is that while my husband fits in the seat and needs a belt extender, my hips are wide enough that I often raise the arm.

BOYCOTT SOUTHWEST!!! This is blatant discrimination!
